This is going to be on Page 18 of Bristol Evening Post tomorrow ( 2nd May). Please book me for carpet cleaning and lets give some £££ to charity…
Hello.
My name is Sean Rogers, I am 48 years old and live in Bradley Stoke. I am a self employed Carpet Cleaner and have a long term friend who helps me with the business, his name is Mike Stokes and he is 60 and lives in Knowle West.
I have supported Bristol Rovers for some 38 Years and Mike has been a very loyal City Fan for 55 years.
Mike has thrown down a challenge in that if Rovers Manage to stay in the Football League as a result of their match on Saturday and other games, he will wear a Bristol Rovers Shirt ( I will gladly Supply) for a whole week whilst we work, bearing in mind we work around BS3 and other areas known to be City Fans areas, Mike hates Bristol Rovers and to have to do that would be a huge blow for him, but I will say it was his suggestion..
Now the flip side: If Rovers go down, and out of the Football League, I will wear a City Shirt and we do also work around Kingswood and other Rovers supporters areas..
WE plan to give 10% of our takings from the week we work to 2 Charities ; JDRF ( Juvinile Diabetes Research Foundation) as my Son has type 1 Diabetes and ME Awareness Charity as Mike’s Daughter suffers from ME.
What a great newsworthy item if the 2 respective Football clubs latched onto this and invited whoever lost the challenge to go visit the stadium and players they dont support and simply detest..
It would all be good fun, we banter each other and there is nothing nasty here…
